JLV progress reports

Post by wakestyle21 »

JLV is there any way you could post some sort of blog of things you are currently working on and how long till you expect them to be completed? Just an idea but i think it would be really cool if we could get some insight on what is coming next and what is gonna be put in down the road.

I don't know. I'm a slow writer so I'd probably spend most my time writing the blog.

Tonight I'll try to clean up the rider model as much as I can. Once that's done I'm starting on the new terrain texturing code. Hopefully I'll get a CD version to test sometime this week too.

yeah i dont mean very descriptive...even a list of things you plan on adding then how far they are along, like so:

1. Clean up rider model - 50%
2. Redo ground texture method - 10%
3. Add rider leaning - 0%
4. Improve rider cornering position(stay on top of bike) - 0%
etc...

something like that.

hey,
as of late ive been curious as to what is exactly going on in terms of development at the moment, jlv,
its been quite some time since a update, so im sure theres something cool cooking up.
reckon youd be able to give myself, and everyone else, a bit of a quick progress report?
if youre too busy, thats alright, but it would be nice.
nothing fancy, just a line or two.

sorry for being a nuisance,
gordy.

I should have an update soon (maybe tonight). The only fun new feature will be demo racing (i.e. racing against a prerecorded demo). The bigger changes are less noticeable. It no longer exits when it tries to load a bad track. It now will just keep the menu up and print whatever errors it found on the screen, unlike before when it would exit and print the error message to the console. It's also going to rescale non power of 2 textures up to the next higher power of 2.
