HOW TO INSTALL MXS ON MAC [TUTORIAL]

So I keep seeing post asking how to install on mac so I made this video on three different ways hopefully pointing you in the right direction. If you have any questions just ask. And no I dont and will never play sim on my mac. It is just for programming and design for school. I hate mac actually, I just need to have it for xcode to make apps for my phone. Just thought Id throw that out there before anyone rags on me for having one. So here you go.

I play on my windows gaming computer bt if I played on my mac id probably use bootcamp because no other programs/drivers would be needed to use my xbox controller.

It looks like you are opening it with winebottler instead of just wine. Make a sim folder on your desktop and install there and then right click the .exe (or control + ckick) and select open with > wine

"It looks like there is no fix for wine bottler not having sound. A lot of people have had that issue and no one has a known fix." This was left in the comments of tht video. Maybe with a new version of wine the sound will be fixed.

Just incase this helps anyone else. I currently have a late 2013 15in macbook Pro. it has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2gb and a 2.3 GHz i7 core processor, I also have 16gb ram. I have windows on a bootcamp partition that i use for 3D modeling and this game. I also have parallels 9 that i can run my bootcamp partition from. Between these two options the bootcamp partition performs much better, this is because you are running windows directly (natively) on your computer. This means it has access to your hardware directly. I still get a hiccup in frame rate using bootcamp, not sure why. Using bootcamp installs drivers for you, but they are also mostly outdated. I installed a more recent graphics driver and uninstalled the one bootcamp originally had and it slightly improved performance.
