Here's that Christmas update I promised...

Changes:
  • Fixed bug where timed motos didn't account for the gate drop time.
  • New demo format which should be about 4 times smaller than the old demos.
  • Client version is now 19.
Windows users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx-2015-02-01-1236.exe
Linux users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2015-02-01-1236

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. The default location for mx.exe should be "C:\Program Files\MX Simulator". I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

thanks for the update, but just wondering, when will the updated collision files get updated? i think it really needs and update for some better racing soon.

I'll do that. First I'm going to make the collision response work better. This new demo code actually changes the way the prediction works so it'll be easier to predict the collision response.

You know, patching a hole in a bicycle tube is a good fix while you ride to the store to buy a new tube.

The snapshot needs to be copied to "C:\Program Files (x86)\MX Simulator\mx.exe". The .exe extension will be hidden on most systems so you should leave that off.

I never understood why people carry a spare tube instead of a patch kit. Only time I encountered something I couldn't patch was when a friend hit a railroad spike and blew out the tire.
