is it better in 1st person
I was wondering if the game is better or easier in first person because all the fast guys use first person. Will it make me faster in the game?
Re: is it better in 1st person
Um wrong, a lot of fast guys play in 3rd person too, however since playback race does not support the 3rd person view in playback.motohed2 wrote:I was wondering if the game is better or easier in first person because all the fast guys use first person. Will it make me faster in the game?

Double post: But as Aeffertz said, personal preference. I find 3rd way easier. But when I started playing, all there was, was the "stock" chest cam, and you could not change the view, which you can theese days.

I believe it's better when u get used to it.
At least Tysen and Hunter are riding 1st person and they are 1 and 2 in standings

I play in 3rd person. A good thing about this is that you can see what is going on around you.motohed2 wrote:I was wondering if the game is better or easier in first person because all the fast guys use first person. Will it make me faster in the game?
But well, I guess playing in 1st would have it's own better things too.
Just get used to one thing

Re: is it better in 1st person
Its just personal preference. I say use whatever you're most comfortable with now. I know plenty of fast people that use first person and plenty that use 3rd. I used to play 3rd but i got bored of the game so I switched to 1st person, I will say that I got a lot quicker after that but i dont think its because I changed views, its just because I was getting better at the game. I find 1st person more fun but I still miss things about 3rd person like being able to see my whips
I still screw around in 3rd person sometimes for fun but if you want to get fast you definitely want to stick with 1 view. Even if you're a switch hitter, which I know a few people are, there is always one you are slightly better in, go with that one and stick to it. Unless of course you dont care about getting fast, then pick whatever one you like better or just go back and forth.

Re: is it better in 1st person
Personally I think timing seat bounces and whoops is a whole lot easier in 1st person but 3rd person is way better in the sense of knowing if someone if about to take you high in berms and what not

Re: is it better in 1st person
The speed of the game in 1st person feels more realistic to me.
But like others have said it's personal preference and the game can be mastered in either view.

Re: is it better in 1st person
It should have gone from MX Simulator to MX Game when JLV allowed 3rd person. You'd be simulating an out-of-body experience in 3rd person. Word.

Re: is it better in 1st person
My problem with 1st person is that the riders head moves way too much. I think it would be much better if his head stayed more vertical and and in the direction of travel. With the camera moving all over it feels too disorienting to me.

Re: is it better in 1st person
The camera is attached to the rider's torso, the head movement doesn't affect it at all.
