Hey guys.

Just curious if there is a way to replace the default tracks in the 3 pre-made series with user made tracks or possibly make your own series. I have searched all over the forum and yes, even used the search button, but nada. I realize this is a mostly online type of thing, but...

Any ideas? Am I just missing something easy?

As far as I know the only user made track that has trained AI is the Circuit De Landsard supermoto track by triggerhappy. So the following info is of limited usefulness without tracks with trained computer riders.

The format goes like this:

<series name>

<number of computer riders>
<skill level of computer riders>
<1st rider's number> <2nd rider's number etc...>

<total number of motos>

<moto name>
<moto track>
<moto minutes> <moto laps>
<moto points>
<event points (all 0 if not final moto)>

<repeat for the remaining motos>

If you want to create your own series, you have to create a file like that and give it a name that ends in ".series". Also, the rider numbers have to be for an existing AI rider (20-99).

Thanks for replying. Where would the .series file be? The MX Simulator folder doesnt have any thing like that and neither does my personal folder. It seems pretty pretty straight foward, I just need to know where to look.

Create a new TXT document, copy and paste JLV's example, and then change the file extension to .series. My guess is the .series file is tucked inside an SAF file somewhere.

Well, I copied the example and changed the Northeastern to Midwestern and saved as midwest.series. I wasnt sure where to put the file so I put one in the personal folder and one in the main folder (the one with the exe and the zzzzz.saf), but no midwest series showed up in the game.

Is your computer set to show file extensions? If not chances are you changed the TXT files name to midwest.series.txt Go into folder options and (open a folder, then click tools, folder options.) Goto the view tab, and uncheck hide file extensions for know file types.

I actually did that. Then I figured I might of screwed it up, but nope. I did it that way, but nothing is showing up in the series menu.

Make sure your last line is terminated with a newline character. If you aren't sure just put a blank line at the end of the file.
