I currently find the best computer to play at MxSimulator. It's not for me, it's for my subscribers.
So, I have few criterias :
Low Price
Play in Multiplayer with 125 FPS with 40 players
All graphics maximum
Texture at 512x512 is sufficient
After much research, I think I find the Best Computer !
i5-6400 (2.7 GHz)
MSI H110M PRO-VD
GTX 1050, 4 Go
2x4 Go DDR4 Memory
400W Power supply
I'm note very sure with the 1050, if anyone have this CG, please tell me your performance
And if you have a better idea for other composants, you can tell me too.
Thanks.
Well, I know you want 125fps, max etc... but I think a 1050 it's a really waste of money.
I have a GTX 960 2GB and I only put everything on maximun just when I wanna take screens. Basicly because by playing in 3rd person the different between medium-high to maximun is almost un-appreciated.
You definitely want more 2gb of RAM unless you plan to run no skins. 125 FPS on a 40 man gate (which would usually mean a decently taxing track graphics wise) on 2gb of RAM will be nearly if not fully impossible.

I chose a graphic card with 4GB of VRAM, it's a minimal to play with many skins.

I'm totally agree with you but I think the 1050 is a best way and it's less expensive than 970.
i5 is clocked pretty low but it won't hurt that much. 1050 is fine for 1080p games, 125 frames may be a stretch but you will get atleast 60, no doubt. Max settings on MXS isn't for play but for media creation. Once in motion the difference between 100/10/x512 and 80/8/x128 is ridiculously small but huge for performance.
I think overall it will be ok. The weakest link is the i5 and because of the clock speed. MXS only uses 1 core, while other games will make use of 4. At the lower clock speeds getting alot of rider will be hard but I think it can do it. I'm fine with locked i5's but try and get a 6500 or similar.

Pumaxcs would know better than I do.
A 6500 would work in this build with no changes needed to other parts. For $20 its well worth it. Since we are on the upgrade path what is the difference in a 6500 and a 6600?

Just saw this thread. As both a past IT Tech and now streamer/youtube uploader as yourself I might be able to help you out here!
1.The CPU: Some have said that the i7 is the best for Sim, sadly that is 100% wrong. Reason being is that since Sim only plays on 1 core of your multi-core CPU that the more cores you have for "X" GHZ then the less amount per core will be running. Think of a pie, the more slices the less each slice has on your plate. Also hyper threading needs to be turned off to make sure Sim runs at its best. BUT at the same time it is the most powerful Intel type processor you can get and will help you not bottleneck with other components as well as give you more cores to stream on, which is a big deal. If you can grab a lower end i7 for the $ since you do not need to overclock, yet if you have to get a nice higher end i5 if that is more in your budget.
2. The GPU: As of right now the best bang for any buck has to be the 6gb 1060. Yes it is not the Titan and will not be the end all be all of maxed out 4k eye blowing graphics some dream of, but for the money it will max out 90% of all games at 1080p at 60fps. For Sim graphics a high end GPU is not the biggest thing to worry about, yet if you do want it to look great on your videos and stream you will need to make sure that you have enough GPU for both the game and to render the video out to others to see. The lowest I would go is a 970 these days yet it is now falling behind since it is half the GDDR5 RAM that most GPU's have today and will sadly be a dead in the water card in about a year.
You can 100% get away with your original build and should be fine overall for general gaming and everything else. Yet if you want to add quality stream/youtube videos and make sure to not see any bottlenecks as you go. CPU is the most important for both Sim and streaming, yet you need a good GPU to back it up for the graphic quality.
