So a lot of new people are coming into this game lately and with how advanced are setups are getting now and secretive they are in this game, i think we should help them. ANYBODY THAT WANTS TO EXPLAIN TO THEM HOW SETUPS WORK, WHAT EACH OF THEM MEAN AND WHAT THEY DO, and if u wan to give them a starting setup to use and advanced then feel free

Better for newer players:
run 90 steer strength 900 max steering force - stops it being so twitchy
40 max roll angle & 3 roll limit factor - helps to let you know when you're about to fall on your ass / stops you getting to the tipover point as easy

IF YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES TO ADVANCED STABILITY SETTINGS DO NOT TOUCH THE MAIN STABILITY NUMBER. IT WILL RESET ALL YOUR CHANGES. ADVANCED STABILITY SETTINGS CANCEL OUT THE MAIN STABILITY NUMBER

Too many people don't know^

Why make this post? IF you're new here's a full setup guide. EVERYTHINGS explained. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNodApKS6RE Courtesy of CBL | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuWYBfO7ifc suspension https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43YCAyLLGZg Advanced Courtesy of Kellen from SYS. Now, although these guys are explaining, they made this before JLV implemented the new sus update. If you keep the Low Compression damping/Low Rebound damping set at 50 for both fork & shock it'll stay the same as before the update. (most people have these set at 50 because it messes up there setup) Hope this helped.

For one my comment was nothing but help, but people don't just type in MXSimulator.com and know where to go to even read the forums, let along know where to go to buy the game. Most of these new comers come from SYS or Spencers channel. So don't be a dick for no reason

It would be really useful if there was a in-forum stickied thread with detailed and updated setup discussion here. I've been in this situation countless times despite playing this game for many years, I forget exactly what certain things do, or the extent of the change when I adjust something.

I'm really surprised there's not something like this already on the front page of the forum, instead people want to keep directing people to 3rd party sites to discuss the game? I dunno, it makes no sense to me. I just want to easily get in the forum and look up the settings help I need and get out, not follow a series of top contributors and their personal websites.

That's a good point. It's hard to not get pulled into a scheme to get more members/hits/likes/views when you only want guidance.

I have a setup related question. I've been looking at the suspension graph thing that you can turn on. Has anyone learned the black magic to using that graph to tune their suspension? Is there something I should be looking for? Or something the graph is showing that I should look out for to like avoid?
