Ok just wondering but, could a program like hamachi be used to defeat the purpose of needing a server to play the game on. Say you just added LAN to the game and people could use an outside source(hamachi) to play with each other, or am i just stupid and need to hush?(im not real knowledgeable when it comes to networking

)

I don't expect the hard part to be getting through NAT. I expect the hard part will be compensating for lag. Basically, to produce a lag free game, you have to be able to predict what is going to happen 50 milliseconds (or whatever your ping is) in the future.
