Changes:
  • Fixed another no timing gates crash.
Windows users: http://www.mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx ... 8-1377.exe
Linux users: http://www.mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx ... 12-28-1377

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. The default location for mx.exe should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\MX Simulator". I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

You will also need this file for the rmz450 and crf250 models:
http://www.mxsimulator.com/snapshots/zzzqtestzz.zip

If you aren't running a server, ignore everything below this line.

Here are the required servers. (Same as the last snapshot.) You want --min-version 29 to prevent inconsistent erode with old clients.

Windows: http://www.mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx ... 7-1369.exe
Linux: http://www.mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mx ... 11-17-1369

This will be the 1.12 exe aside from the version number. This time I mean it!

It's crashing in the same spot each time. The "Foregrounded and locked" vs "SetForegroundWindow failed" is showing if it successfully became the foreground window which gives it slightly better scheduling priority. It's better if SetForegroundWindow succeeds, but it doesn't have anything to do with the crash.

Looks like the actual crash is happening earlier than I expected, when it loads dinput.dll. Hard to see why it would crash there. Let me finish up 1.12 and I'll give you some more stuff to test. I suspect your dinput.dll file might just be badly corrupted.

That's hard to say. The code in question hasn't been changed. The only thing that might be different for the LoadLibrary call would be the stack position.

I was thinking about this and it occurred to me that you might have a program installed that intercepts input by preloading a dll to catch directinput calls. If you have anything like that installed it could easily cause the problem.

How would i look for programs that would do that. I didn’t install anything at all but a few games like F1 2017, DIRT 3 and Mu Online

It'd be a program for controller macros or something of that nature. Sounds like you aren't running anything like that but I thought it was worth mentioning.

jlv you should do a tearoff in mx sim like the screen get muddy and you have to hit a button on the keyboard for controller players and click the mouse if you play keyboard that would be sweet

The only thing i'd have that has anything to do with Macros would be Razer Synapse for my keyboard. I tried uninstalling it to see if it would make any difference but no luck. I also tried downloading Xpadder to see if it would modificate anything at all but still didnt work

It prevents the punting that is such a cornerstone of many kids style. It should never go away. Obviously, you weren't around when this it was so much worse.
