If you don't upload it, no one will ever get the files to rip it.
But then no one can see you.

Well that's true I guess. But again that's the creators choice to either put it up for everyone to use or not. But, lets be real here, the only reason these people want to scram files now is so they can try to make money. Which I'm ok with since I know they are spending tons of time on making them, so if they can get a few guys willing to pay for it then ok, but for them to demand people to have to pay for content they don't have the rights to is wrong and for JLV to help them achieve this (by giving them he scram option) all he is doing is backing these rippers. Yet, I constantly see people threatening to have people banned by JLV for ripping their stuff. Not sure if he has really ever done that or not though, hence why I want to know his thoughts on this issue.

I guess if he doesn't answer the only way to really know is to start posting everyone's stuff and see if he bans me or not....

The TM bike isn't for sale and has never been. I think there may be one more bike too that isn't out for sale that is also being run, so there are people out there still just trying to protect their stuff.

Ripping other people's stuff is just stupid and childish. Just have no clue why people even bother.

It's probably the 4k skins. If they're scram files it'll be even worse. I really overdid the scram thing. Should have just XORed the file with a random number instead of using a real cipher. Would have been easy to crack but I doubt anyone would have managed it.
Ill probably be crucified for saying this, but I can't help it. I really don't understand why you even created the whole scram thing in first place. I understand people work really hard and spend a lot of time creating models and skins for this game, but they chose to do this, knowing that their stuff could be ripped. Them selling their gear and bike models is actually illegal since they do not have permission from the companies that they are replicating gear/bikes from. In fact, they are rippers themselves, since they just make replica models of real products and logos, so for you to create a way to help them sell their stuff really baffles me. What are your thoughts on this?
I have no problem with people selling their work. It's no different than me selling this game. I just wish I wouldn't have over engineered the file scrambler so much.

I'm not sure if it is the server saving the demos or something else, but if you take a look at this demo which is the EU Free 250 main event from Oakland, the positions doesn't change. Most times that comes on later on in the race (actually seeming to be the correct positions), but still, it seems to be an issue.

Interestingly enough, I played it through to the end, then "backed up" for a bit and realized that the positions were actually changing. So I backed up all the way until the start, and now is appears to be working...

If you were skipping ahead make sure you have the --accurate-skip option set.

Again I don't have a problem with it either because I know how much work goes into it, however I think some people just get way to serious about it like its required to pay. Nothing wrong with just taking donations and I would gladly donate for some content but to try and force people to pay $100 to use their stuff seems a bit ridiculous.

And yea the scramming thing is way to complicated, especially since there is a super easy way to get around it....
