Free gear/bikes/models

I have been away from the game since 2016. I just got back into Sim a couple of days ago, and wanted to get some up to date gear/bikes/models. Well that didn't happen what so ever. Everything I tried to download wouldn't let me unzip. I did some more research and found our about this JRE v2 model. Then people are selling the gear based off that model. So what happened> How did it get to this point. Also can someone point me in the direction of some free gear/bikes/tracks?
