I never had an issue with the first person camera but adding a little gimbal effect is definitely an improvement for me. Thanks!

Now if only we were able to look left or right in first person! :P

vmaki wrote:The gimbal is an excellent addition! For a casual 3rd person player 75 to 100 range feels really good. I'm guessing it's only on the pitch axis? It would be really interesting to see it on yaw and roll axis with their own respective sliders!

What is the maximum angle on the gimbal when the slider is at 100? This is a minor thing but on an enduro track when I'm going down a steep hill it feels for me as if the camera is not looking enough up towards the horizon with the slider at 100.
There's no effect on 3rd person. There is an angle limit at 45 degrees up and down, but the gimbal slider controls how fast it springs back to the true pitch.

I really like this addition! I'd love to see it in action for cornering! I'm a 3rd person rider, and with this update, I'm switching to first person. Look amazing!!

Maybe I'm just bad at the game, but I don't feel a difference playing 1st. What does it do exactly?

its called '1st person gimbal' in the graphic settings, it basically smooths out the 1st person camera, if you're trying it im currently using 25 after riding southwick all last night trying to get the right setting, it just takes the edge of headshake away

The 3rd person camera doesn't have the same jitter problems as 1st person.
Will there be an update where we can get something for the camera in 3rd person when going up steep hills. Ex. Millville, glen hellen, or pala

Turn it all the way up to the max setting and ride around where there are bumps. You should easily be able to feel a difference. If you never play in first person, maybe you’re just unfamiliar with how the camera reacts to bumps.

Bravo JLV! Maybe now these Mario Karters can grow up and use 1st person.

When I was choosing the range for it I was aiming for 50 being a good setting.
