There definitely won't be a Mac port before Christmas. The Windows version works well under emulation so that's your best bet for the moment.
Check out Wahlamt's topic for info on running it under an emulator.

Wineskin works really well, doesn't take long to set up either. Follow Wahlmats tutorial step by step and you'll be gravy.

So do you think windows will work on my mac with wine staging?

Use wineskin as the updated 2018 guides. Wine staging stopped working after apple updated their file system. Not tried it in soon 2 years though, but I'd still do wineskin.

I can actually still run the game with Wine Staging but it only launches about 25% of the time and does something funky to the graphics. You also can't access the editor or run erode on single player. Wineskin is the way to go.

That seems odd. Does the computer you use have a HDD, SSD or SSHD? Either way, seem that wine staging never really bothered then to update to the new file system properly.. :?

Im running it on a Mac Pro (Late 2013) which has a SSD. Working perfectly with Wineskin though! Excited to learn how to make tracks finally.

I'd stick with the stable version of Wine unless there's a specific thing you need from staging.
