recorded demo crashing after editing skins

Can't figure it out why but when I edit the skins on a recorded demo in notepad++ the skins show up but the game freezes a couple seconds after the gate drop. I reinstalled the snapshot but that didn't work

That thread you linked is 11 years old and the demos has gotten updated since then. I've tried this myself, and it seems to be a bit random if it works or not. Sometimes it did, other times it didn't. Can't tell you why though since I'm clueless.

Should still be safe to edit the header. Not sure if notepad++ has an option to tell it you're editing a binary file but if it does you want to enable it.
