There's nothing wrong with that CPU. There was someone having micro stutter issues with a 5000 series Ryzen a while ago but it was never clear that it was the CPU's fault.

There is also an early stigma that has stuck with the game from like 10 years ago when AMD made lesser CPU's and MXS was very CPU dependant with AI and some other simulation things (?). That gap has closed tremendously to practically no difference between the two performance wise.

Is it faster? Yeah, it's got more cores and a slightly faster clock speed. Most of the performance gains will come from application optimization and your use case. Like in a CPU render comparison you'd save noticeable time because those are dependent on a single component and will likely take advantage of all 12 cores, but like game FPS you'll have better performance just nothing you could pick out being so minor.
Not to say the new one you got is bad but the last one you had was so good lol. Like, when you are at the top of the line the performance jumps just become a lot tinier.

Every single ryzen chip ive tested side-by-side with an intel has noticeable microstutters in mxs. I've tested a 2600x, 3600xt, and 5600x with 3 different mobos. I even reinstalled my os on multiple different drives to try to rule out other factors.
If i was just playing mxs on a computer and it had ryzen I probably wouldnt notice, but when you play back to back races going from intel to ryzen or ryzen to intel you definitely notice it. Maybe theres drivers im missing or I was unlucky enough to get 3 dud cpu's, but the weird part is the problem only occurs in mxs for me. I've had to ditch ryzen because of it.

It will work fine but the 9900k would still be faster in MXS with less frame drops unless you get one of the new ASUS boards with Dynamic OC switching to go with the 5900x.

I have an 5800X with 8-Core and my game freeze randomly when I turn on "Record Demo". I didn't find how to fix them without turn it off.

I think I remember someone else having the same problem with the AMD SATA driver. I don't think we found a fix for it. If you can use the default Microsoft driver instead it might work better.
