I still have some bugs to sort out but here's a little preview. This is locked at 60 fps. It'll update about twice as fast at 128 assuming you can hit that.

Really cool! In time trial mode (because that's all I play anymore) will they stay when you reset?

Right now they stay until the track is reloaded. It's actually harder to pick them up than to put them down.

Any plans on the ability to restart a race without the track resetting? Would be cool for nationals to keep the roughness

Not soon. That's actually a pretty difficult problem. Going to finish the terrain optimizations next and switch the shading to do all lighting via HD environment map after that.
