New Front end. (handlebars, numberplate, levers, fender)

Post by Voutare »

Alright. I've got my all new fresh out of the box front end here. I've spent about 4 hours modeling everything, and here it is.

Thanks to DJ for .safing it, mapping the barpad and numberplate, and thanks to Wilson for my consultant for the model. Thanks to Nickmx for looking at my screenshots, and for a few ideas.

Problems:
The cables aren't always the right color. It's mainly because people didn't know about this prior to making their skins. So, you'll most likely have gray cables.
Front numberplate skin is a little off. It's no big deal unless people made their skin with a brush.
Front fender is ugly, I know.

just maybe a half an inch wider on each side 4 the fender and it would look great... btw is this a modle allowed in WMSA Series?

Yes it is, because it uses basically the same UV layout

I'll make it a bit wider, and upload it if its any good

Yeah, I just noticed that. Gordy must have put alpha there for some reason.

That's not my model. The rims/tires/hubs/rotors are Wilsons.

lol wilson xD

That only took 4 hours? thats pretty impresive but how about the rear fender?

And what about proper front/rear fenders for each bike, since there not all the same?

I don't feel like spending the time making the seperate fenders for each bike.

And I don't have access to the bike frames (other than the yzf), and that would mean that I would have to model the entire bike, to make new rear fenders.

If I could get every bike frame in .obj, or .blend, I will be able to do it.

i wouldnt have put alpha on my skins as a measure of making sure something doesnt show up, but simply i didnt put anything there because it wasnt assigned to anything on the UV map.
