Uber lag/slow framerate?

Post by MorganKX250Fridr »

I hate to do this because I dont think anyone would know what the problem is but...when i load the MXS demo i start on a bike at a track but he bad thing is, is that the frame changes about every 20-30 seconds. It only changes about 1/4 of a second too. I don't think that its my computer because my dad plays WoW and it runs perfectly on here. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, im being rushed. Simply put I have INTENSE lag. Any clues...?

It took me about 20 minutes to change all of the graphics setting as low as they would go. I also changed it so that I wasn't running MXS full screen but neither of those things did a thing. I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP. I don't know if that answered your question though...? :?

P.S.
It also has a Pentium 3
and when i try to close it, it always
crashed and i have to click "End Now"

delete billboards and statues to see if that helps from the tracks and then if not delete decals if they are there too.

If billboards and statues are in the graphics settings area then i put them to minimum. I don't see why that would make a difference since it would take like 5 hours for my rider to leave the gate anyways...

are you using the stock tracks or user made ones? if its the user made ones that are lagging go into the track folder in you personal file and find the files called statues and billboards and delete them

What are your computer specs?

I.E. Ram, Videocard, soundcard, motherboard, etc.

If you don't know, there is something you can type into your 'run' thingy that will tell you. What it is, I have no idea.

It's pretty much always graphics drivers. Find out what GPU is in your computer and install the latest drivers for it.

Ram=512 Mb
Video card=XPERT98 AGP 2X
Sound card=ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM)
Motherboard=Intel(r) 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller

Thats what my mom said to put...yeaa haha
She doesn't know what GPU means unless its a Graphics Processing Unit, which I "don't have in that laptop..." says my madre.
