does this game have any adverse effects to overclocking? I don't know if you are overclocked but im just suggesting :?:

i did read that but by the looks of it the only way to fix is to format my hd and start over but thats just out the question.
shame as i was looking forward to trying out what track making skills i have on this game

that just doesn't seem possible. there must be something that is causing it. Are you running vista 64 bit?

i will get it working someday dunno when or how tho lol



edit- ahh i just reinstalled it and did not use snapshot and it seems to be better

edit2 - infact its working perfect without the patch tho

that sucks though because all of the important stuff you need for tracks is in the patches, aka decals.

i think you should try running through all the snapshots from the first to latest and see which ones work, it may find the culprit nto your lag?

With a recent snapshot exe, does it run ok if you set "ground texture detail" to 0? That would mean there's a problem with the framebuffer to texture copies.

For some reason the gremlins have fixed the problem or maybe it was the reinstall but i now works with everything full up and with the latest snapshot.exe :)

so thanks for all the help guys problem solved
time to read some tuts on the track making process :)
