If you are using one button, use both brakes. Set the front brake power about 30% higher than the rear and you'll be fine.

if you want to play mx simulator to its fullest I would recommend using the rear break and front break different buttons, but for the easier option use both for one button

The guy who has most of the supercross lap records this season only uses the front brake. I've switched to front brake only and it's true- you don't need the back brake except maybe in certain emergency situations such as avoiding a downed rider in a turn.

Both. I ride in MXS pretty much the same as I would in real life. Front for slowing down, and the rear for a little bit more stability and control in braking. Also I use the rear to slide a little, which helps square up turns.

I've tested this out a while back, and I don't know what the anomoly is but this is just how it works. Using the front and back brake together, you actually come to a stop slower than if you were to just use the front brake only. I never use the rear brake unless I'm using it to kick the rear end around quick in a corner.

Same here, to me it feels like using the rear brake is unnecessary, except when your in the air.

I'm also using my backbrake only for some movies or screenshots. Because it's almost not possible to control that at the speed that I'm most of the time going,
Unless I put anti-lock on. But then it looks like it isn't braking at all.
So only front brake and use a WFO throtle to slide your back in the direction you want.

I always use front break. Except when Im in the air, cause I lose control of my bike if I use the front brake mid air
