Yeah thats right! Just keep having a crack at the game, and soon you'll get the hang of it. It's like riding a motorbike for your first time.

watching other people ride can give you an idea of lines and throttle control etc. but it won't teach you how to play the game.
best advice is to start on a high stability (70-80) and work your way down to about 15, which i think is a decent standard stability. When you have that down you can start manually changing the stability. once you are entirely comfortable with that,, just keep practicing and you'll get better. I've been playing this game for over 1.5 years and my lap times are still improving.
oh, and use a controller. It gives you much more precision.

And start with the stock tracks. Dont just make your way onto the sx tracks.

Ive had this game since November of 2010, and I must say, at first I was so slow, that 90% of the time, I would just have get up, and walk away from my computer. In the last month or so, Ive been getting noticably better. Im at the point where Im starting to have fun playing MXS. All I can say is, Start around 50 Stability, with your steering strength around 60, and your steering force around 450.
