Changes:
  • New parameters in .braap files - lowtorque and hightorque.
  • Time difference now shows in lapper bar.
  • Reverse is now more intermittent before the race start.
  • RPM is now interpolated while generating sound for smoother sound on slow computers.
  • Client version is now 10.

Linux users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2011-07-27

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

You will also need to unzip this file somewhere where MX Sim can find it. (Either install folder or personal folder will work.)

This is the same file as before but I'm keeping the link here just in case someone missed it.

Was the reverse only supposed to be changed for the start of the race? I don't like how it turns so slowly now, it's really annoying when you get spun around backwards and are trying to get back the right way again.

It only turns when you're backing up now, so it is a bit slower. I think it's more realistic that way and it simplified things for the intermittent reverse at the start.

Yeah, it is more realistic. I just hit the gas and turn around now, but I keep hitting people.

I wish I could dab my foot and dump the clutch, I hate how slow the reverse now.

But there are some good things in here, great job Josh.

Second other people. Good things here, but the slow reverse is a pure tool of satan. It will make for a really frustrating racing and really, really frustrating practice/joy riding.

Umm. There is no need to extract it, it's not compressed at all.

And it goes in the program files/mx simulator folder. Where the current EXE file is...

Four steps to using the new snapshot without renaming anything.
1. download the .exe file
2. place it in c:\windows\program files\mxsimulator
3. right click the new icon, choose create shortcut, place shortcut on desktop.
4. go to desktop and doubleclick your new shortcut.
