So is this for that supermoto track? They were billboard trees right? You need to convert the billboards to statues using that 2 plane model I uploaded.

I don't know how you are running out of memory with the .pov file I uploaded. It doesn't use the .inc files.

I think I had that problem once. Had no idea what caused the problem though

Faaaaantastic. I don't have that many objects, I might just do decals for the trees and call it good.

Trying to do this again and it keeps turning out pure black. It's a total different track and files, it renders fine, it just turns out pure black with nothing else :?.

I seem to remember Povray giving me trouble with 16 bit pngs at some point. Does it still render black if you replace terrain.png with an 8 bit black image?

That didn't work. I also tried converting the normal terrain to 8-bit also. I didn't notice this before, but there is a 1 pixel row and column of white though (upper row and column furthest to the left).

It's weird, I've done it before, not sure where the problem is.

try negating the y value of your sun vector (in the shadows.pov file). I had this problem once and it seemed like it was because POVray was confused because it thought my sun vector was pointing up rather than down

// SCALE x (RESOLUTION - 1) = LENGTH & WIDTH ---> EG. 1.6 x (1025-1) = 1638.4
