Does anyone know how to quickly get rid of any 100% black bits? They are getting in the way for doubles and triples

wtf are you talking about?

If your making a track in PS, then you would paint over the 100% black bits you don't want with a color you do want??

turn your layer to screen and it'll get rid of anything solid black.

Checkerz makes berms by doing a circle gradiant then using the curves tool to adjust the slope of the gradiant (or at least that's the method he showed me). It's quite slick.

Then you basically cut off about 1/2 the circle then blur/smudge the edges to make a smooth entry/exit.

The artistry of it is in the last step.

Thanks, i kinda figured he uses the radial gradient tool. I just wasnt sure how to get the entry and exit smooth. Thanks for the info.

I personally use the smudge tool. Put the pressure around 20%. Experiment with different brush sizes. I sort of "swoop" the tool around in a bit of an arch.

The whole thing should be on it's own layer, set to screen, opacity adjusted to control height.

You won't get it perfect on the first try. Keep plugging away at it.
