Skinning Help!!!!

Okay I would just like to know how to skin. So first off, I need templates! I found a kx450f template on google images, so i put it in gimp, and export it as png and all that. I put it in my personal folder and it shows up in the game. When I start a race it says it can't load a few things and its just the regular kx450f you normally get. Please help! I would lovvvvve a brief tutorial and whatever templates i need to do this properly. I just want to make the same bike i have in real life but its being a struggle. Oh and I have the saf creator. I just don't know what to put in it. do I put in the exported kx450f png into it and then? it says it can't load like forks and front plate and so on. And i do name the exported thing right as it shows up in the game, just not in races or anything.
