It would be possible to do a fireworks .seq file and set that as the finish line flagger forsure. Jay and I talked about doing that for opening ceremonies for Monster Cup.

could you just edit the original sequence file but adding in the fire for the checkered flag? Would be trial and error to get the flames in the correct position depending on where the old smoking guy is placed though.
