After looking at everyone's controller setups I feel weird. I run an xbox 360 contoller with:

R trigger: gas
L trigger: brake (both antilock)
LB: clutch
LEFT STICK: all rider lean directions
B: dab
X: shift down
Y: shift up
SELECT: back up

In Gran Tursimo 4 (If I remember correctly) you could just hold a button and it would stop you from shifting gears. I'm sure JLV could add the option, that way you could just hold a button before you hit the whoops and you would be fine.

Although manual is pretty easy.

I remember this, it sounds like a great alternative which probably requires less work than what I was thinking of.

apparently I'm the only goon who uses a stick for throttle/brakes

If you set up an analog clutch, then manual shifting will start to work better cause you can slip it in corners and soft spots

I am riding automatic, and i don't really care of what gear i'm. On sand track for example, when the bike is low speed, especially with the 250,i just down a gear off. And for the whoops,i don't care of what gear i am,i wish gas(don'tthinkyou'llunderstandthis)the whole whoops series! And it's good

I had a problem kinda like this, mine was that the shifting thing gets stuck online a lot, i found out a way that really helped me out. I changed the colours of the shifting digits like:

1st gear - green
2nd gear - yellow
3rd gear - yellow / orange
4th gear - orange
5th and 6th gear - red

This way it was way better to see in witch gear i am and it helped me out a lot... I can send you the stuff if you want it mate :)
