Futuristic Honda

Post by braap68 »

I was looking at the 2015 CRF450R one day and I came across a really futuristic CRF model and I thought it would make a really cool MXS bike. I know absolutely nothing about making bikes so it would be great if someone could do this. link: https://www.behance.net/gallery/7122667 ... -Modelling

If any bike company comes out with anything that ugly I'm quitting riding. It's just not worth it at that point.

I feel like I would go to touch the plastics and slice my hand open on them.

Bad frame design. A bend there is unnecessary and just creates weak spots meaning there is a larger change of the frame failing and snapping meaning that the rider who was controlling the bike at that time would have a large risk of obtaining very serious injuries.

^^

Also it should have an electric motor. Tbh it looks like a mutated KTM, there electric bikes are heading in that direction.

Yup, not to be too mean to the guy but you can tell he's a designer and not an engineer. I would have thought a degree in transport design would have some engineering content though, if just to make the lives of the engineers slightly easier. Also, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that cleverly optimising form for function, automatically makes it aesthetically pleasing anyway.

However, despite the faulty design, it is nicely modelled.

I read all the comments before even opening the link, and you guys give it too much credit. It looks much worse than ugly. The only thing that looks decent is the way the side number plates are, and I still prefer the current way of doing those

Gave it too much credit? Did you actually read the comments?

Your dream was to see a futuristic bike in a simulator?

If you actually read past the "too much credit" part, you'll see what I was saying
