Why has there been no real upgrade and/or update to collisions, racing could be so much better..

I know, I know, it's been said multiple times, I just want to know what is on your mind (Jlv) Do you have any future plans to allow racing to actually be more fun where you can block pass and actually ride with people with out having to be so worried about crashing?

This games fun factor would go up 10000000000000000000000% if we could genuinely pass and race properly without so much hesitation.

I might tweak it some, but if you do a good block pass it's way more consistent with the "lock". If you hit your front wheel doing a block pass you messed up big time.

The main issue I have is someone crashing near me in the middle of a slight curve or start of a corner and i will already be leaned a little and clipping them with the front wheel getting jolted and then saving it, 10ft later ill be laying on my head because the front end is still locked from clipping them.

This is usually my experience as well.

There definitely should be some wiggle room though, even if your front wheel makes contact, or someone else makes contact with your front wheel. The collisions right now are mostly fine, it's just the frustration of little incidents with minimal contact and you wobble and save yourself, and then tip over anyway after you've already thought you were balanced again.

I agree, I really do. In saying that though, I believe there is some "wiggle room" for altering the current setup, ultimately, I just want fun clean racing. Currently, it's fun, don't get me wrong. But, the amount of frustration from the most minor incidents is just immense and I am becoming tired of it really.

I don't think it needs a MASSIVE over haul, however, is does need to be assessed and worked on.

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, just comparing to real life...pretty often the pros get their front ends banged around a lot during being passed and stay on two wheels pretty well. If you re-watch the pass Eli put on Dungey this week, it looks like Dungey's front tire made a little contact with Eli's sub-frame or something. The only scenario I feel like you should definitely go down in a front wheel collision is if you directly ram their back wheel.

Anyway I think one thing people kinda gloss over is the fact that in real life, people make use of their shoulders/arms etc to assist in contact passes. I feel like that sort of absorbs a lot of the energy (or at the very least provides a barrier to prevent bikes from locking together) in the collision to make them possible . Since we can't really do that in MXS with static bodies, maybe there just needs to be another artificial fix to get something similar to that.

Did you guys see the Cody Gilmore crash? That happens every time you get within a foot of another player
