It's easy to move the camera. The main issue is it'll look ugly with the rider model in the way.

Why not just allow the camera to move without worrying above the rider model moving its head, this would work in both first and third person. It would be more functional and help with cleaner racing to view around you to see people. For example hitting a big jump and being able to quickly change the camera to view behind you to see whether or not some dude is about to punt you on the inside. Do it something like how car games work and how you can rotate the camera around you while driving, except just do left, right, and behind for t.

Many car racing games have this where you use the dpad to view all around the car to see exactly where your opponents are.

jlv, can't you just plant a new camera on the back of the dudes head and have you switch to it when you press the button? Also when we gonna have a true 3rd person spectate camera?

It would work just fine in 3rd person as well, then when you let go of the Dpad it just flicks back to normal
