using the same button for opening & closing the chat?

Post by MotoGoon31 »

I wanted to set up my controller to open and close the chat, but i cant close the chat without the ESC button on my keyboard.

Can we please get the chat to open and close on the same button?
Or if not, can we have an option to change the ESC button into a key command?

Thank you.

I use a flat screen TV in the living room hooked up to a laptop... So its a beach to hit the keyboard to see who joined, type something in, ect. and then move back to my seat..

Was thinking I would lobby for a way to assign a single button on the controller that would open & close the chat panel. That way it would simplify the process of seeing whats going on in the server without removing our hands from the controller. Just would have to make it a weird button on the keyboard (if your against the idea of it being on the controller) for defaults. It would make the game flow better for all.

Sheesh Zoa you’ve gotteb savage as of late  personally it doesn’t matter to me how people play and I didn’t realize people play on their TV’s I guess. For this guy (and possibly others), this feature would be nice.

I have an HDMI hookup, so its an easy connection. I have a 40" flatscreen TV I play on. IMO, I'm faster on the bigger screen with 92 FOV in 3rd Person. It makes for a different game.

This feature cant be something difficult and it would make the chat more accessible to all players. Less steps in the game to complete a task always makes thing user friendly. Who could be against a clean option that eliminates the need of pressing a completely different (ESC) key command?
