Well over on Pinkbike we had a props button. So if any post was deserving it was awarded plus props by the users, while stupid posts got minus props. So reputation would be measured on how many props you have. Just am idea 8)

On thumpertalk it is a "gas" system. If you like someone's post you can give them good gas, if you dislike it you can give them bad gas. You are also supposed to leave a description of why you gave that person good gas or bad gas, and if it a stupid reason, admins will delete it. It would put more work on JLV, but that is really the only way you could do a reptution system on this forum. As everyone else has said, there are too many kids/immature idiots on this forum.
