Sound FX or Javascript volume bar in Sound Settings

Post by aeffertz »

With the addition of JS, would it be possible for an additional volume setting for people who don't want to hear sounds implemented into the track? I notice the volume bar now turns them down but it also turns down the volume of your bike.

I believe I have the JS sounds in with the competitor volume. So you can adjust it vs your own bike but it'll also lower the other bikes.

It makes so much sense now. I run my competitor volume at 2 and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why my scripted sounds were so quiet lol.

If you turn down either slider, the JS sounds go with it. So it's like it's bound to both sliders.

JS and competitor bikes are master_volume / 10 * competitor_volume / 10. Your bike is just master_volume / 10.

Maybe this is already possible by coding but what about also pausing the JS audio when you pause the game?

I can easily mute it when paused. I don't track the position in the sound patches so restarting in the correct position would be harder.

+1 i keep my competitor volume pretty high because i ride in first person and sometimes it sounds like the crowd is screaming in my ears
