we already have plenty of power on the current bikes, i think 450's would just be overkill and there are other things that should be done to further develop the game. and wood, saying @#$^@ is just as bad as DJ saying "shit" so dont make a big deal out of it

In spite of the immediate shitstorm that this topic always brings, I think it's perfectly valid. The ONE thing that you hear the most, over everything else, is that we want more displacements. Why? It's not because the riders feel they've reached the limits of the 125/250F. If we were to wait for everyone to get maximum performance out of them, we'd never get another bike ever again. Besides, bigger bikes aren't really faster anyway. No, the real reason people want different bikes, is so they can have some different bikes! Would a 450 be overkill? Yeah, probably. But they exist in real life, and are extremely common and represent a major portion of what motocross is. People want to simulate this entire realm of racing styles. Riding a 125 is very different from riding a 250, and riding a 250 is entirely different from riding a 500. These are major aspects of the sport.

I think a lot of the reason that this issue has been put off, regardless of years of requests, is resistance to whining. I'm familiar with this. Someone tells you over and over to do something, so you don't do it, because they're being annoying and you don't want to reward their constant whining. But the reason it's been requested so much that everyone's sick of hearing about it, is because it's genuinely something that almost everybody wants.
