Maybe has something to do with these buttons?

No because I use RT for throttle, LT for rear brake, RB for front brake, and LB for Clutch and I get the lag hit more often than not when I am braking into a corner and the front brake (RB) sticks. I have to tap RB to get back going again. It just seems like whatever you are doing at the exact instant you get that spike is what sticks. I have never gotten it when using A B X or Y buttons tho. I think it is more of just a random occurence than any type of button combination

If it coincides with a lag spike, it's probably losing a button release message. I can work around that but it will be a little complicated since I'll have to poll the device and simulate the button release event when the driver flakes out.

If you dont have the time to do it, its no big deal. It was just a noticable problem for me.

If its that much of a problem, it means your computer is continually getting lag spikes. Try getting that fixed before you expect JLV to do anything about it.

I actually dont get lag spikes. It just happens every once and awhile and when it does, its so unexpecting.

Actually, it seems like most of the people with problems are using xbox 360 controllers. I do not have any of the issues described in this thread with my playstation controller.

Are you using a wireless 360 controller or a wired one? My wired controller has given me no trouble and I've used it daily for 2 years. Well, now that I said that it will most likely die tonight while I'm racing, but oh well :)

Mine is wireless and its the same controller I had with my 360 before I got rid of it and now I've been using it for over 2 years on mxs with no problems.

Its called buying a wired xbox 360 controller, or PS3, whatever your comfortable with. A wired controller has a USB to plug in the computer, and when you do that, it automatically downloads the driver I think, or the download to have the controller work on the PC.
