Fix Shifting Error?

This may be confusing. But if you are racing in a race ( For ex a champ race ) and you go into a corner and shift down, it goes immediatly into 5th gear and its hard to stop. And to get back to first, you have to shift up then back down 5 gears to get to first! This is annoying, and sometimes it even sticks in first gear. This should really be fixed!

It happens to me a few times. I got tired of it so I put it to automatic and it works fine, but I dont really like automatic.

Never happened to me either. I think it might help Jlv find a solution if he knew what type of controller you are both using?

I'm interested to see if the TS is using the same controller.

It might help to move the shifting to a different button. I doubt I can work around it in the game itself.

I'm Using A for downshift and X for upshift on and original XBOX360 controller.

I also use X to upshift and A to downshift on a 360 controller. Every once in a while I will get some kind of hit, like a lag spike I guess, and whichever button I was pressing at the time will be stuck on until I press it again. It would be a strange coincidence for it to happen right as you shift since you just press the button for a split second and an even bigger coincidence for it to happen more than once. Usually with me it is either under braking or acceleration when I'm holding a button.

I get the lag spike sometimes, and I will either get stuck in a gear, the clutch will stay engaged, or the throttle will get stuck on. Doesnt happen that often though

yeah i get it too randomly at the worst times, i think i figure outd how to make it happen tho. Seems when you hold dab (top RB) and shift up (left stick IN) it seems to lock the gear. Only way is to shift down again to bring it kicked out. Sometimes i randomly sit down and shift up when im about to land off a jump and it seems like does that shift bug.

i get the lag spike... But i usually get stuck leaning forward, sitting down or leaning back :/ Use and x-360 controller
A-lean back
X-Sit
Y-Lean forward
Maybe has something to do with these buttons?
