Graphics Performance

Post by surfboyrio »

One of the things that annoy me badly while i run this software is the FPS drop.

My PC Specs:
Phenion II X4 955 3.20GHz
8GB DDR III
HD6870 1 Gb DDR V

My native resolution is 1920x1080
My CC is set to balanced - Triple buffer on - ATI AI off
In Game
Ground Geometric Details 35.00
Ground Texture 5.00
Model Geometric 35.00
Model Texture 8.00

If i lower more than that i dont fill any fps gain.
And if i put everything ON a just loose 5 fps.

But...

If i open a session alone or join a online session in a SX track i get 125 fps.

Until 9 bikes i still get the same 125fps, but everybike added after that adds a sensible weight on my PC performance, to reach a point when we have a full SX gate my game is completely locked , running slower than my still camera can shoot a surfer.

Any tips apart from upgrading my game rig would help :)

Thanks

You have a solid rig and shouldn't have problems running this game with 20 riders.

I've got the following:

Core i7 920 overclocked to 4.00ghz
12gig ddr3 1600mhz triple channel memory.
2x Hd5870's in crossfire (only 1 is used in MXS)

I see a similar fps drop as you, sort of. 10-12 riders will provide 125fps but after that the fps starts to lower a little. During the supercross races, i see about 90-110fps with 20 rider races.

Make sure you have updated your video drivers, and try turning the ROOST off (0) when you have lots of riders in the server.

That solve the issue, thanks for the tip.
