server ploblems

hi guys i made a private server and i can connect fine but when my friends try it just says "contacting sever" over and over.
i have already disabled my firewall and forwarded my ports. wat do i need to do to get this thing running? thanks in advance

You probably have an error in your port forwarding rule. Also, make sure your router isn't blocking outgoing UDP (set the router's firewall to low or off).

my router firewall as well as my pc firewall is off. how do i find errors in the port forwarding rule?

You just have to double check everything. Make sure you're forwarding the right port to the right computer.

well i double checked and cant find anything wrong. i forwarded the ports exactly they way yzmxer's tutorial said i dont know what else i can do.

One surefire way to fix connection problems is to get hamachi logmein and have the people who want to ride on your server get it too, they join your group or whatever, then connect with your hamachi ip instead of your computer ip, if that seems too hard, send me a pm and i can help you over teamviewer if you like. (don't know what it is, google it, i dont feel like explaining it)=/

i told him to do that but he doesnt know how and nether do i and i just know that people do it that way
