Do macs have newer updates than windows?
i was wondering if macs had newer updates than windows because my friend that has a mac says that he has newer stuff then what i have. i was just wondering.

No, this game isn't even technically available for Mac. He's most likely running on a program that allows use of Linux or Windows on his Mac.
As for newer updates, you probably just have an old update or something. The latest snapshot and 1.5 Update are the latest things.
