Game Keeps Crashing after about 4-5 seconds
Re: Game Keeps Crashing after about 4-5 seconds
Does 16.6.1 work? You can get old AMD drivers here.
Looks like the most recent updates were 16.7.1 on 7/7/2016 and 16.6.2 on 6/29/2016.

Nope, does the same thing. If its not the new drivers what could it be that is only affecting AMD gpus? Thanks for the help by the way.jlv wrote:Does 16.6.1 work? You can get old AMD drivers here.

The AMD driver could depend on something else that was updated. Can you check your update history to see what's been updated recently?
Here are some instructions for finding it:

My last update was on 6/15, windows update KB3149135. About 3 weeks before this started to happen so I don't think that's it.

Do you have a restore point you can go back to?
Have you tried disabling your antivirus software? That might auto update without leaving anything in the update history.

no restore point. and disabling anti-virus won't do anythingjlv wrote:Do you have a restore point you can go back to?

Re: Game Keeps Crashing after about 4-5 seconds
i have spent all day trying to figure this out
i have rolled back drivers - nothing
i have installed new drivers - nothing
i have rolled back drivers then installed the hotfix - nothing
i totally took my graphics card out of my system and ran on integrated graphics - nothing
i have un-overclocked my graphics card - nothing
i had a look at my update history - nothing for the last 4 and a half weeks
i scanned my hard drive - no problems with it
i re installed the 1.10 update and tried to run that - still crashed
this had become beyond me i don't think it has anything to do with amd as i took my graphics card out and let my cpu handle it and it still didn't work (i have an i5 not an amd cpu) so there is nothing else i can think of doing i'm stuck.

Re: Game Keeps Crashing after about 4-5 seconds
Before, I was having the exact same problem as everybody, but last night when jlv gave a link to the older drivers, I downloaded one and it seems to work now. The driver I downloaded was 16.6.1 driver and it worked for me. I'm not sure what made it start working if it was luck or if the older drivers work but I just wanted all of you guys with the same problem to know.
