If you want it higher than 60 (for sim you will), disable VSync. VSync locks the FPS to the Hz monitor you have. So if you have a 60Hz monitor, it will lock at 60FPS. For a 144Hz monitor, it will lock at 144 FPS. Disable VSync to get a much better sim exp. 60 in sim feels nothing like actual 60FPS. More like 20-30

I'm fine with 60fps to be honest, I tried disabling vsync but it made no difference.

It's weird what's happening because it's running at the 3120x2160 resolution or something like that? I can't check what it exactly is because I'm not on my computer, but I assume you know which video mode I mean. Anyway, when I start the game it now flickers between 29-30 fps, so I then have to drop it down to the lowest video mode which I believe is something like 740x620?? Whatever the lowest one is anyway, then after that the fps jumps up straight away and flickers between 59-60. However, if I then put it back into the 3120x2160 video mods again in game the fps stays at 59-60 fps. Strange

Nah JLV, i really need help with this if you can? That's if you know the problem anyway.

Basically, when i load the game up, no matter what graphics settings im in ill get 29-31fps.. My computer can do much better than this, i very highly doubt it has anything to do with what graphics my computer can handle. Anyway, the video setting im using is 3840x2160, however as i mentioned previous to this, if i change the video setting to 640x480 then put it straight back to 3840x2160, mxs either loads the screen up as normal and i will then have 59-61 fps OR my screen goes all out of proportion and it has a see through green overlay over the entire screen. Even when it is running at 59-61 fps it still has lag spikes and my game is pretty much unplayable. I tried using a lower video mode thinking it was the 4k resolution causing the lag but 2k, 1080p and 720p all have exactly the same lag problem. I haven't always had this problem, i can normally run 40 man gates on pretty much maxed out graphics so for this to be happening is pretty annoying :?

Any suggestions at all on how to fix it though? Because like i said, as it stands i cant even play the game

Do you have Display Scaling disabled? Right click on mx.exe and then click Properties. On the Compatibility tab, select Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings, and then click OK.

Just noticed you said the FPS is jumping around in the menu too. Pretty much anything should be able to handle the menu. You should check the task manager for another task using a lot of CPU time.

it's not neccesarily jumping about, it kind of sticks around 28-30 fps but i should be getting about 125fps unless on a packed out server. With sim running, the task manager is saying im only using 30(ish)% of the CPU. I could try reinstalling mxs? Only problem is that i dont have access to the email account in which i purchased the game on.

So the menu is a steady 30? What graphics card are you using and what does the driver info on the graphics setup screen say?

Does the driver info in the game show the right card? 30 FPS is something you might get out of the integrated graphics if the resolution is really high.

It's not the graphical interface like HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort that is limited to 30fps throughput? (with 4k)
