You might want to try updating/reinstalling your chipset and network drivers. I'll add some code to see I can figure out what it's doing and work around it.

Try this. It won't fix anything but when you disconnect it will print something like this:

Max packets per step: 9 Max recv time: 0.000015

Let me know what it says.

That looks normal. Are you sure it isn't just happening when multiple riders are using huge skins online? Running low on texture memory would act very much like what you describe.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but, could it possibly be an internet issue? Nothing about trying to fix the game (if there's a problem) seems to work...

OK. I'll since it's not hanging in the network code I'll put some better benchmarking code in so I can get an idea of what it's doing.

I'm going to add a frames/sec histogram to give myself a better idea of what the slowdown looks like. If you're in a rush you should try a clean reinstall of your OS.

Just curious, how would one go about doing a clean reinstall of windows 7 if say I had no disk? (in other words, came from the factory with win7 installed)

The last 2 complete PC's I bought had a Windows installer on a separate hard disk partition and an option to copy it to a DVD. Look in the start menu for something about creating a system restore disk.
