I read that you can make multiple demos without having to exit mxs and rename the default by going to chat and typing "/namedemo whatever_name_you_like" when ever i do this it says " demo name updated" then i do my race and all that, but when i exit the game to check the demo, there is still only the "default" one, and when i watch it its all glitchy and like mixed between my renamed on and the default. Do i have to save the demo somehow after the race? I would also like to know how to record online. sorry for my extreme noobness

No, it's the first time I've heard of this problem. You aren't restarting right after you type the namedemo command are you? It only renames the currently recording demo.

no what i do is enter a race like rabbit hill for example,the open up chat before race starts, type something like "/namedemo rabithill1" then do the race, once all the laps are done i exit and restart mxs to try seeing the demo, do i have to save it somehow before leaving?

It should work any time after the track loads for that race. Try it after you finish the race.

right before you replied i tried it about halfway through, worked great, i was thinking it wouldn't record the race if i didn't rename it right away, thanks your the help!
