The only reason I can think you are having that steering problem is because your stability is too high. When I first got the demo (which I probably had for about 4 months), I put my stability on 30 because I saw a video on YouTube back in the day that had said it was impossible. I just left it at 30 and did 10 lap motos on Ekswannabe with some AI riders whenever I was on the computer. I actually got to where I wouldn't crash at all and would be throwin' some whips on the finish line. Just a suggestion that you might want to try out. :)

Every one basically starts off looking like this bud, but turning up your stab to maby 30-50 will help you get the hang of the game alot quicker.
For my set up i usually run about all 70 on my forks and all 20-30 on my shock, depending on the track.

His stability is at 95 if you didn't notice. Just keep practicing till you get used to it really. Mainly the corners. I wouldn't honestly worry about suspension setup until you can actually get good enough to do some laps around the track without falling. Some people have some cool advanced stability setups but I've always stuck with the stock settings. But yeah I guess what you need most is time, patience, and practice.

Oh and as far as starting on such a low stability like Tyskorn suggested... I started at 80 and worked my way down very slowly so no idea which way is better. But imo I'd start at a higher one till you can at least get used to your controls you have set.
