Adding Decals To the Editor - No Haters Please.

Post by MotoFreestylePete »

Okay guys, I have read all the tutorials n that, but nobody is really explaining it well.

Can someone explain it simply here below. BUT if WE dont understand, we might ask a question or something so please dont get pissed off if the question is simple in your view, we are learning. I might make a video tutorial for others when or if I understand.

I think this also means... how to get 'statues' into the game for eg. FMX RAMP.

Honestly it cannot be explained any better than in this thread.

Try it, see if it works, if it doesn't report back with an error or some sort of information that we can use to solve your problem.

They need to be added in a text editor. Seriously, read the tutorial...

Yeah man, I have read the tutorial many times before.

OK, I have made a new folder in the track folder, i named it something else because it wouldn't let me call it decals. So, do I copy the first line of what the notepad file says with the decal, then paste it into a new notepad folder then move it to my new folder? I dont undertand. please, this is hard.

Either way, see if it works. If it doesn't try the other way.

yeah but there are like 3 codes on the file. by the way, this is a 'statue' file, i hope it counts as a decal. (fmx ramp) there is a .blend file, a .jm file, two pics and an SHP file and a photoshop image. None of the codes look at all like what he mensioned.

fuck. i opened up the folder called 'FMX Ramp' which is what i want to get into the game. anyway, that guy who di the tutorial said there should be a file that looks like this - [100.000000 100.000000] 0.000000 15.000000 1.000000 @bradlyarenacross2010/textures/ground.png - but all i see is numbers and shit, nothing in that order.

So open an existing statues folder and decipher what it is you need to adapt to get your FMGay ramp into the game.

The format of each track file is listed in this thread...

Yes, but you need to replace the placeholders with actual bits of data, such as the rotation, the folder, and actual x,y,z positions...
