Hey guys, I'm trying to make a server, and have everything set up, but for some reason, I just cannot find out what to put as the IP address when portforewarding. Here's how I have it set up so far:
already tried using my ip. It tampered with my connection, and I was unable to connect to the internet after that. I had to disable the port to get it working again.
Try going and clicking on your little windows Icon or whatever yours is in the bottom left corner. Then in search all programs and files type in "cmd" without quotes and hit enter. Then you should get a dialog box or whatever its called. Then type "ipconfig" and hit enter. Try using your IPv4 address. It should be like the the 3rd line down or something of that nature. Hope I was able to help. Woulda made a video, but I don't want everyone seeing my ip's

I fail to see how letting people see your local IP could do any harm to you...

I didn't want to spend any time blurring things out and my ip was also in there.
Is your computer name in the list? If you can use your computer's host name instead of the lan address it will simplify things if your address changes.
FYI, your lan address (the 192.168.x.x one) is of little use to hackers. They'd have to be inside your network to use it.
