PS3 Controller - Pressure Sensitive Trigger?

Hi everyone,
I've searched to no avail. Anyhow, I'm on a Mac and I'm using controller mate with my Dualshock. I use R2 for throttle and when I press it it's instantly full throttle no matter how far I have the trigger pressed in.
Is there a way I can make it pressure sensitive so when I press R2 it increases the throttle by how much I have the trigger pulled in? Its hard for me to controller the bike because of this issue.
Thanks ahead, Lipps

I don't think they do. Its really bugging me. I think I would improve ten fold on this game if I had pressure sensitive throttle

You should be able to go into your controller's game pad control panel, within the program, and move L2/R2 to be on an axis.

I appreciate the help but R2 is set as a button in controllermate, in effect making R2 a button and not able to be used with the axis function. The analogs are the only parts of the controller that can be used with axis(Am I wrong?) I tried what you said and the logic doesn't work with controllermates pre-existing functions. I'll keep fiddling. Please, if you have any other ideas it would be a great help!
Thanks,
Lipps

I had a PS3 controller working with motionjoy, the triggers worked just fine.
It was a royal PITA to get working though and I have switched to a 360 controller because the sticks are way better.

You should just buy a pc since macs suck anyways.

You need to choose xbox360 emulator in motionjoy, then click enable and game controlpanel to see if it works. Then start up mxs and do your controll settings again (brake and that) and now it should work like a xbox controller

Can you do it with a ps3 controller? Is that even possible or do you need to use a Xbox360 one?

I HAVE SOLVED THIS PROBLEM!!
its about the version of motionjoy, i found older version of motionjoy from my computer sadly i dont know what version it is, and i dont know where did i download it from
but anyways, with this older version of motionjoy, r2 throttle button works just like it should! progressive!
so if anyone are able to find download link for that older version of motionjoy, im sure that would be helpful for other players that are having that same problem.
