MX Simulator

I have upgraded to Windows 10 recently and all of a sudden my Xbox One controller (wired) is not working. All of the buttons work except for the triggers. Not sure if this is a Windows problem or if the issue may lie in MXS. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might have to set them again in customize controls. Every time I uninstall-install-copy all my files back in place -> I have to redo my xbox controller.

I upgraded instead of doing a fresh install of windows. I can customize all of the controls that use buttons, but the triggers won't register. I tried other games and the triggers still register with them.

There's some text file or whatever that I had to manually type it in on my Mac for only the triggers. Idk where to find it tho just look around in your program files and then u should be able to find a list with all the controls. For Mac I think it was something like application data/ mx simulator and then I ended up having to manually type (-1.000000, 1.000000)Joystick0 axis 5 for right trigger and that then 4 for left. Hopefully that helps lol it should atleast be something similar to that in windows.

Alright. I switched USB Ports and now it recognizes my right trigger and not my left trigger. My gas (right trigger) was then held wide open when I started a race. I went into the config you're talking about and found my right trigger had both negative numbers. I changed the second number to a positive and it seems to work fine now. The only problem remaining is now my left trigger.

Solved. Had to edit the config some more.

nothing is working for me when i change the number to a positive it sets as my left trigger then i go back change the buttons again and then it goes back to being wide open or it just doesn't work at all

please tell me what you did! I have this EXACT same problem

I attempted the same thing you stated with changing the second number to a positive but doing that makes the throttle work but it moves it to the left trigger? It's programed to the right trigger

Having the same exact problem. Everything is working but my triggers. It is only on mxs though that it has this problem. I was able to play other games with my triggers perfectly fine

DId what you said to do Snopro704. My triggers worked but it felt like it was accelerating at half or quarter speed. Dont know what to do now......

-1 and 1 may not be your trigger values. Making the numbers to big or small either has a sensitive or non-sensitive effect. PLay with the numbers . I kept my numbers the same as before.

Each trigger is a different axis. Here's my config:

throttle_key=(-0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 5
front_brake_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2
rear_brake_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2

Tried everything you guys said and still nothing. Anyone that knows what to do could you please help me out. Thank you.

Don't know if you've already got help with this but to get it to work, go to Devices and Printers, right click the controller -> Gamer Controller Settings -> Advanced and then select the controller from the drop down list for preferred device.

No need to edit the config file, just do the above and it should now register in game when you go to edit controls.
