Xbox One controller. Has anyone found a solution?

Post by TheDeadGamer23 »

- I am trying to set up my Xbox One controller with Sim but it just doesn't recognise the triggers.
- It has recognised the right trigger before but when I went into a race it was as if the throttle was locked down.
- I have tried to use my PS4 controller as well and it gets recognised but with the triggers it's either full throttle or nothing.

I have seen other people are having problems too, If anyone has a solution or any ideas then please let me know :)
Thank You.

Open your personnel folder and locate the config file

open it with notepad, notepad++ or wordpad

scroll down until you see

throttle_key=

copy and paste the following values over your current values for throttle on right trigger and rear brake on the left trigger with front brake on left bumper

Code: Select all

throttle_key=(-0.062500,-0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2
front_brake_key=(k)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) button 4
rear_brake_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2
Im sure you can work out how to customize it to suit you.

you might need to swap the throttle and brake numbers too. i.e add and remove the "-"

sorry bro i had to hunt around to find the correct settings i made a few assumptions in my first post

ignore my first post settings

These ones work for sure...

Code: Select all

throttle_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 5
front_brake_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2
rear_brake_key=(0.062500,0.937500)Controller(XboxOneForWindows) axis 2
axis 5 is right trigger
axis 2 is left

Did this work for you Deadgamer? I just bought the new xbox one controller with the 3.5mm headphone jack and in my config it is the exact same numbers.... But does not work still. My original xbox one controller worked fine with it though. Any suggestions?
