Loving the new multiplayer erode snapshot and have a couple questions. I apologize if these are answer somewhere else.
1. Is erode based on real life erosion? In other words, does a 250 gunned in first gear erode more than a 450 that is just coasting with the clutch in?
2. If you join a race in warmup mode do you still contribute to the erosion of the track even though you are invisible to other players?
3. When will it be on other servers? Can people implement it now or are we only testing on that one server? (official.mxslobby.com:19801)
4. Do the updates affect the single player erode?
thanks for your time!
Erode questions
Re: Erode questions
1. It's based on the force the bike is putting into the ground. A heavier bike with more power should have more effect.
2. Not unless there's an embarrassing bug I didn't notice.
3. Here are the server links:
Linux: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxserv ... 07-27-1357
Win32: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxserv ... 7-1357.exe
You can set the erode value with --erode x on the command line or "server, erode x" online.
4. Single player erode is the same as it was before aside from not hurting the framerate as much with the current snapshot.

Re: Erode questions
Thank you for answering so quickly! This is making the game so much more dynamic. Erode adds so much because each lap is diff now.
